about this role

We're looking for a fast-moving, culture-savvy creative to lead our social and organic growth efforts. You're part strategist, part creator, and you know how to turn a feeling into a format.

about you

You're chronically online—in a good way. You've got taste, ideas, and hustle. You channel organic social energy into momentum, riding cultural waves with intention. You turn weird sparks into sticky stories, and you care deeply about mental wellness, connection, AI, and what it means to be human today.

what you bring

  • Creative Hustle: Bold, creative, and unafraid to break norms. Proven experience shipping viral, engaging short-form content
  • Taste and Design-Minded: You know what's good vs. great and demand the latter. You love creating content that feels raw, real, and truly brand-aligned.
  • Community Builder: You've grown a meaningful audience on TikTok, IG, or beyond (for yourself or a brand)
  • Trend Fluency: You spot culture early and know how to flip it into brand moments.
  • Experimental & Curious: You test, tweak, and move fast—across tools, formats, and ideas (the latest growth hacks, AI platforms, affiliate networks, clippers, etc). You analyze, iterate, A/B test, and optimize every hook.
  • Team Player: Self-starter with high agency—able to own initiatives and move fast as well as brainstorm outrageous stunts with the team.
  • Content Queen/King/Quing: you are comfortable brainstorming on Figma product features to test out on social, creating static content on Adobe Illustrator, Adobe photoshop, Canva, CapCut, InShot etc

what you'll do

  • Run pillowtalk's social presence across IG, TikTok, and emerging channels
  • Ship daily content experiments
  • Run 6–8 niche test accounts to explore new voices, aesthetics, and verticals
  • Lead IRL activations (e.g. subway stunts, campus drops, flyering, pop-ups)
  • Build a creator pipeline: recruit talent, write briefs, manage UGC tools (Trend, Archive, Minisocial, etc.)
  • Prototype mini-GTM campaigns, referral loops, and cultural moments that get people talking (and yapping)
  • Work very closely with the founders

compensation & location

  • Compensation: $70K–$140K + meaningful equity + benefits
  • Location: NYC preferred (IRL is magic), hybrid possible

why this matters

This is your chance to shape how a warm, weird, beautifully human AI shows up in the world. If you've ever wanted to work with a world class talented team at the intersection of AI, culture, design, and mental wellness—this is it.

how to apply

Show us you. We want real passion, real curiosity, real hustle.

We can't wait to meet you.

compensation & location

  • Location: NYC preferred (IRL is magic), hybrid possible
  • Compensation: $150K–$200K + meaningful equity + benefits

about the role

Pillowtalk is building emotionally intelligent AI. We're rethinking the most intimate interface of all—conversation—with warmth, awareness, and depth. As a founding engineer, you'll help us push the boundaries of what emotionally resonant software can be.

You'll work across mobile and AI systems to prototype, scale, and refine experiences that feel alive—technically advanced, emotionally nuanced, and culturally aware. This is a rare opportunity to help define the technical foundation, product architecture, and tone of voice of a radically human AI company.

about you

You're technical, intuitive, and sensitive to experience. You've shipped complex systems, built beautiful apps, and wrangled weird model edge cases. You write thoughtful code—and think deeply about its emotional impact. You prototype fast, obsess over microinteractions, and aren't afraid to own the full stack.

You're energized by questions like:

How do you make an AI feel present?

What does responsiveness mean—emotionally, not just technically?

How do we collapse distance between human and machine?

what you bring

  • 5+ years experience building and shipping real software
  • Strong fluency in iOS (Swift) and/or full-stack environments
  • Hands-on experience deploying ML models to production (bonus: LLMs, conversational AI, inference optimization)
  • Experience working with real-time systems, multimodal input/output, or custom UIs
  • Clear product sensibility—able to reason from user experience back to architecture
  • Bonus if you've worked on emotionally expressive apps, games, chat systems, or AI/ML tooling
  • You're allergic to mid. You ship with taste.

what you'll do

  • Architect and build the core product experience
  • Prototype and refine emotionally intelligent AI interactions
  • Design model pipelines and optimize inference for real-time, responsive use
  • Collaborate with founders across product, research, and tone of voice
  • Help shape the engineering culture, standards, and systems from day zero
  • Take things from zero to real in weeks, not quarters

why this matters

We believe the next leap in AI isn't about scale—it's about feeling. Not just smarter systems, but more present, more emotionally resonant, more aligned with how people actually are.

If you care about software that moves people—technically and emotionally—this is that moment. We're early. We're building fast. And we're looking for people who want to set the tone for what emotionally intelligent AI can be.

how to apply

Skip the formalities. Show us what you've built. Include work that reflects who you are—code, side projects, thoughts, demos, anything. We want to see you.

We can't wait to build this with you.
